Through the years, we, at Big Moo's Catnip, have personally taken part in helping to control the feral cat population, in the very neighborhood Moo came from. Using the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) method, that almost all shelters participate in, we have been able to help over 30 feral cats! We have witnessed brand new litters of kittens that would not have otherwise been able to survive, rescued them, and ALL of them were adopted by loving families! The slideshow above is filled with pictures of actual kittens we've rescued from the neighborhood, and adult cats that were TNR'd. 30 may seem like a small number, but each pair of adults can have 2 litters per year (in warmer states it can be 3 litters per year), and average 4-6 kittens per litter. That means, in the 3 years since these were spayed/neutered, 1 pair of adults could have multiplied into ~376 stray/feral cats!

Moo believes all cats (and all animals) deserve a forever home, and a permanent, loving family, just like he has now. Because of this, Moo loves to donate to shelters in need, so more felines like him, get a chance, or second chance, at having the dream!

Moo demanded that a portion of proceeds goes to a shelter in need, in the form of donations, so they can keep doing the amazing work they do. Even if you don't have a cat, you can purchase a bag of Big Moo's Catnip, and it will be donated to a shelter. After all, shelter cats need a little excitement too!
